Minimal Workspace

For this blog post in video form, please head to my YouTube channel or check the bottom of this post.

Today, I am inviting you all to join me for my desk and office tour. My home office setup is a work-from-home and workspace setup, similar to what you may be familiar with, but with my own special tips and hacks. Creating a productive workspace starts with a minimalist desk. Anyone can achieve a minimalist desk by utilizing desk organization hacks and following a minimalist desk setup. All of these are productivity hacks that help to inspire a creative workspace.

Read on for some helpful tips on the basics of office decluttering:

1.DETERMINE WHAT YOU USE.

Don’t save things for “just in case” like cables, files, or other work items, whether physical or digital. Get rid of what you don’t use.

2. DECLUTTER DAILY

At the end of your workday, spend a few minutes clearing your workspace and planning for the next day. Also, if you’re like most people, a good portion of your office is actually about storing files. That requires you to keep on top of your system and declutter weekly or even daily depending on the amount of information that comes in.

3. SORT & DONATE

As you do with any of your spaces, it’s a great idea to donate what you no longer use. Often someone else needs that chalkboard that you haven’t used in a decade.

Now that you’re done decluttering, you can get down to business! For extra productivity use this time cube.
