Most of us are stuck at home at the moment, with more time than ever. So I wanted to share 6 productive things that you can do for your business right now, during this downtime.

#1 – Get Organized (obviously my number one :)

The first thing on my list of productive things to do is organize your business. You can take the extra time that you have to systematize everything. My strategy is simple: look at the outcome of your product or service and work backwards on how it got into the customers’ hands in the first place. And then eliminate everything that does not contribute to that process, which is essentially excess and energy wasting. I break this down into 6 steps for each part of your business in my 6-week accelerator course.

#2 – Update Your Website

My next idea for you is to update your website. Come on! No matter how great our web is, we can all make it a bit better with a few simple tweaks and add-ons. Plus, there’s a good chance that this has been on your to-do list for ages. Take the time to do it now. My favorite tool for this is Squarespace.  Getting online is more important than ever right now, and you can start with your online “home base”, which is your website. Good news – with Squarespace you can actually do this yourself. And it also has lots of other helpful options as you grow from scheduling to online shop capabilities.

#3 – Create a New Sales Funnel

My next idea for productive things to do for your business is to create a new sales funnel. A sales funnel is basically an automated way of getting a sale in your business, and it can make a huge difference in your business to have these set up and running at all times. I would take a look at all of your existing products and services and see where the gaps are, where you’re missing sales funnels, and get to work putting some new ones in place. This is what I’ve been doing with my downtime. I’ve added new funnels to my business, because I know that not only is this going to benefit me now, but it’s also going to benefit me in the long term as well. The same is true for you! So, spend the time creating assets like this, and it will really help you overall in your business. I currently use Click Funnels which connects to my email campaign (I use Active Campaign). In my course, I give you my EXACT funnel and all you have to do is input. You don’t have to hire anyone—you can do this!

#4 – Do A Re-launch of Something in Your Business

I know it’s a really challenging time right now, and you probably feel weird selling, but people still need your products and services. And it is actually a disservice not to show up and keep trying to help people if you have a useful product or service. One thing you can do is a special launch for your product or service. You can add something extra so that it’s even more valuable. Offer a flexible payment plan. People still need you, and what you offer, so get it out there and do so with a re-launch, and possibly even a promo.  I just re-launched this YouTube channel!

#5 – Provide Free Content

This is arguably the most productive thing you can do for your business right now, and that is to provide more high-quality, free content for your audience than you ever have before. How can you show up in a bigger way and provide more value for your audience? With all the free time that we have right now, use it to get creative and provide fresh new content for your audience. Not only are they going to be incredibly grateful for the value that you are sharing for free, but that’s also something that is going to benefit you in the future. You are basically helping people for free now, and you’re also setting your business up for future success. Anytime you produce free content, especially content that is searchable in some way – whether YouTube or blog content – that is content that lives on and will continue to bring you leads and sales for a long time in the future.

#6 – Just Get Started

Last but not least, I encourage you to START! Just get started on what you have been thinking about. I am a big believer of progress over perfection, and now in our fast-moving society this is even more true. So just launch, post, invent or whatever you feel called to do…put it out there, get feedback, and then perfect!

Those are my suggestions for productive things to do for your business right now. I hope this video was helpful for you!
