As you know, I have tested a lot of online business tools. I thought it would be fun, in today’s blog, to share with you my top 10 favorite tools that I use to run my online business in 2021.

The online business tools in this list are all relatively easy to use. Yes, there is a learning curve, but once you learn how to use them, they will become essential pieces of your online business. These tools are the simplest and most user-friendly of any on the market. Of course, with any technology, there is going to be a learning curve, and it can be tricky figuring out exactly how you should be using it in your business, but it’s worth the initial time investment to take advantage of these easy-to-use online business tools.

#1 - Squarespace

The first on our list of online business tools is Squarespace. Squarespace is what runs my entire website and allows me to easily share content with you on my blog. I sell my products on the commerce site and also use it to schedule all my sales calls. If you don’t have a website yet, I definitely recommend that you use Squarespace. Their templates and easy-to-use interface makes creating your own professional, gorgeous website possible. It’s drag and drop, which means you can see all of your edits as you make them, and there’s no coding required, which is a huge plus for most entrepreneurs. It’s very easy to integrate the other tools that you are using into your Squarespace website, and overall it’s just going to make you look modern and professional online.

#2 – Asana

This is my favorite project management system that is going to allow you to organize your entire business. It allows you take control of your to-do list and add effective systems into your business, if that’s something you’ve been avoiding, try Asana. You’ll get more done over all and hit your biggest business goals. I’ve actually recently created a brand new Roadmap for you (it’s free), which shows you exactly how to set up your Asana for business the right way. The main thing I use this for is my YouTube videos and content so my team can access it.

#3 – Ownr

I found with owner the safest and simplest way to incorporate your company Ownr offers solutions for existing and new companies it is affordable and convenient.

#4 – Excel

Yup, I said it! I still use Excel and probably always will. The organizer in me just loves the columns. In my course, lots of my homework exercises are even in Excel.

#5 - Canva

My next favorite on my list of online business tools is one that I talk about a lot, and that is Canva - specifically the Canva Pro version. This is about $10 per month, and it is incredible. It is how we create any graphic that we need in our business. It makes graphic design super easy to do, no matter what your design experience is, and that’s because it comes equipped with thousands of templates. I love the Canva Pro version because it allows you to automatically resize your files for different formats. Create graphics to share on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, all with just a click of a button. With Canva Pro you can also save all of your branding information – you can keep your logos, colors, and other brand pieces easily accessible as you’re designing. Give Canva a try if you haven’t yet – you’ll find a few tutorials here on my channel about that.

#6 – Hootsuite

Yes I still use this time-honored scheduling tool, because it just works! It is not compatible with Instagram, but it’s fantastic for all other social media.

#7 – Acuity Scheduling

This tool is going to save you multiple hours per week. Be sure to set this up so that clients and potential clients can automatically book in your calendar for either discovery calls or for sessions with you. This completely eliminates back-and-forth emails trying to figure out what time works best for both of you, and that’s why it is one of my favorite. You may be more familiar with Calendly, a similar scheduling app. This tool is now part of Squarespace, which is so convenient.

#8 – Slack

The next on my list of favorite online business tools is Slack. Slack is a messenger tool designed to communicate with your team. It means that all conversations related to work are all in one place, and for that reason both an essential tool and an organizational plus. I have also seen Slack being used for large virtual conferences as a way to enhance the user experience and add an interactive feel.

#9 – QuickBooks

The second-to-last tool on my list is QuickBooks. Keeping your money organized is an essential. This easy-to-use accounting system ensures that you keep your finances in check.

#10 – NEAT

I really believe in digitizing receipts, and I even have a quick four-step guide on how do this (click here).

Bonus! – Google Drive & Google Docs

My final favorite on my list of online business tools is actually two tools I use together: Google Drive and Google Docs. Basically, it’s a way to put Google to use organizing your files, creating a system to do so, and storing it all in the cloud. You do not need all of these files bogging down your computer, so just keep everything online. I also love this because it means you can easily make all files accessible to your team. It really cuts down on the amount of time spent searching for the right file.

These are my top ten favorite tools that I’m either using or recommending for 2021.
