Minimize and Declutter Your Wardrobe With Yolanda Hawkins

In my latest video and post, I had the pleasure of collaborating with Yolanda Hawkins from The Psychology of Style.
Yolanda and I met in LA, and we immediately realized we share the same vision when it comes to closet organizing. By defining and streamlining your style, you will automatically declutter your closet and save time getting dressed. An added bonus? You will feel more confident and show up like a BOSS, without wasting any more time worrying about your looks and or what to wear.
What would you say if I told you that in order to declutter your life, you first need to declutter your closet?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is my mantra on decluttering. On average, women waste 12 hours a week worrying about how they look. That's 627 hours a year. Other studies show that just hearing the word 'declutter' triggers thoughts about people's closets, which is usually accompanied with worry and stress about finances, excess items, and disorganization in general.⠀⠀⠀
Your closet reflects the bigger picture of your life. And while digging deep into why you're holding onto some items or avoiding your closet altogether can be an uncomfortable process, I promise that by mastering closet organization, you'll feel more in control of every aspect of your life.
The closet is also an ideal place to practice and hone organizing skills that can transfer over to the rest of your spaces and goals. I know that if you start your day choosing clothes from a laser-focused closet, you’re well on your way to a structured, system-driven office space.
