Do you want to start a business, make a million dollars, find your true passion, get laser-focused, write a book, learn to sew? Whatever it is you want to do, hiring a coach will get you there faster and make your outcome more successful – GUARANTEED.

The life and business coaching business has exploded, as more and more people turn to coaches to help them on their path. The younger me would have scoffed at the idea of hiring a coach, but now I’m so grateful I did, and I recommend coaching to everyone I meet.

Coaches not only keep you accountable, but can truly help you achieve your desired outcome. Now, looking back, it feels ironic that I doubted the concept since I’ve come to consider myself a type of coach.

You may have already seen a coach or perhaps follow a few on social media. But how do you choose between so many who promise you success? Here are three tips for choosing the right one.

Set a time limit

Once you know what you need help with, research coaches in your niche. For example, I knew I needed help with personal branding, so I looked for coaches who specialized in the area. But don’t research endlessly; give yourself an hour or two of focused research and then decide on your top three.

GET to know them first

It’s important to find a coach you click with. A great way to do so without spending the time and money on an appointment is to set up a call or sign up for their free webinars. Most coaches will offer some sort of free offer, ebook, webinars, or discovery call. Use these offerings as opportunities to get a feel for whether or not they align with you, and then determine the next steps.

Sign up on the spot

Don’t overthink it. At the time, I didn’t have a job and the coaching program was thousands of dollars. Nevertheless, I did it — I found the money, signed up and started the following week, and it literally completely changed my business.

Next week, I’ll be sharing my course insights on why you need to get organized now!
